Hello all,

I'm a huge martial arts movie fan. First month ebay came out, I bought a box of about 20 Bruce Lee tapes. Watched nothing but the Three Little Dragons growing up, especially loving Sammo

But I've probably missed some lesser known, or more modern movies (I'm a slave to the 80s)

So hit me up!

I'll start off with the lesser known fight from Killzone SPL

Tony Jaa movies are some of my favorites, and the stair climb scene in The Protector is a standout.

It's barely a fight, but I really like the scene in The Last Jedi when Rey attacks Luke. The way he just dodges her attacks and then disarms her, it's strictly defensive. Like he has no intention of hurting his opponent. It's how Jedi should always fight. They shouldn't be loping off limbs because someone talked some shit at a bar. But weirdly enough, it's just TLJ and The Acolyte that understood this.

The final fight in Revenge of the Ninja is one of my favorites. One of the best fights between Ninjas on film.

Couldn't find a video of it on YouTube that didn't have awful music blaring over it but there's a couple fight scenes in the second Rurouni Kenshin live action movie that stand out to me. The fight between Kenshin and Chou and the other is between Shinomori Aoshi and Okina.

The first fight has ridiculous swords and internal turmoil as the main focus, but there was something about the fighting beneath the temple that stuck with me. The two start fighting outside in an open space but then go under the temple and are still going at it while crouched down in a tight space but still somehow throwing hands and tumbling around.

The second is between an old, semi-retired assassin and his former protege. Two men going at it alone in a house while the city of Kyoto is on fire with a whole other battle going on outside but they are completely focused on killing each other. Swords, tonfaa and bamboo spears are used while one man will stop at nothing to find and kill Kenshin while the other tries to stop him.

Most movies based on manga are trash but this particular one was pretty good.

@sombre: I wonder how long they train together so that they can do this scene
