That Block button...

Does it do anything? There's a dude on the forums requesting to be actively ignored, and, being new here, I thought I'd ingratiate myself by being a good sport and obliging. However, at a similar forum I visit, it's a hilarious joke button or something?

Should I press the button here, or am I just setting myself up for disappointment?

I can re-ping @dtoast, but this was determined to be a niche and low priority concern and with threaded forums, it would also require a re-design of threads.

I just want to block/hide someone in the livestreams. They ruin every chat they're in, which is all of them, because I think the think they're friends with the staff

@sombre: If you have an ad-blocker that allows blocking specific page elements, it may be possible to setup a filter to block messages from this person you don't like.

Okay, so, this is new to me because I and @dtoast were under the impression your request was about forum posts and comments on the physical site and classified your request as such. Blocking/muting people in a live chat could be easier, but I also know things are being toyed with on the site chat.

Nonetheless, we can get your feature request logged in next week, but I cannot promise a timetable.
