Overview
XDefiant, originally known as Tom Clancy's XDefiant, is a free-to-play first-person shooter developed by Ubisoft San Francisco and published digitally by Ubisoft for the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on May 21, 2024.
A six-on-six first-person shooter similar to the Call of Duty series, XDefiant features a crossover roster with factions from several game franchises owned by Ubisoft (including The Division, Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, Splinter Cell, Far Cry, and Watch Dogs).
The game received multiple beta tests, both open and closed, since 2023. With the closure of Ubisoft San Francisco, the game was discontinued less than a year after its original release, with downloads for the game being turned off on December 3, 2024 and the servers planning to be shut down on June 3, 2025.

- Echelon (Splinter Cell) - Echelon members do not appear on enemy radar, and can use their abilities to either render themselves invisible or share the location of nearby enemies to their team. Their members are Malee, Samir, and Rafa.
- DedSec (Watch Dogs 2) - DedSec members regenerate their armaments automatically, and can use their abilities to either hijack enemy-deployed abilities or deploy a "spiderbot" that stuns enemies. Their members are Sebastian, Jing, and Jia.
- GS-Kommando (Rainbow Six: Siege) - GS-Kommando members have damage resistance to headshots, and can use their abilities to either deploy an electrified barbed wire to sun enemies or deploy a device used to neutralize enemy armaments. Their members are Stark, Krieger, and Kaptan.
- Highwaymen (Far Cry: New Dawn) - Added in Season 2. Highwaymen gain increased rate-of-fire and reload speed through killing sprees, and can use their abilities to either deploy an automated turret or fire an explosive grenade. Their members are Paulo, Li'l T, and Nova.
- Outcasts (The Division 2) - Upcoming. Their members are The Flayer, The Heretic, and The Mender.
