    Overview

    Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is a historical-military first-person shooter developed by both Treyarch and Raven Software and published by Activision for the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on October 25, 2024.

    The 21st main installment of the Call of Duty series (and the sixth main installment of the Black Ops sub-series), Black Ops 6 follows the standard Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies components of the sub-series, now with a new omnidirectional movement system and a customizable HUD.

    The main story is set in 1991 during the Gulf War, years after the "flashback" events of Call of Duty: Black Ops II, with CIA operative Frank Woods going rogue after being warned of a hostile group ("Pantheon") that infiltrated the agency. The main player character of this installment is CIA operative William "Case" Calderon, who is part of a rogue team recruited by Woods to prevent Pantheon from deploying a superweapon.
