Overview
CyberJudas is a sci-fi geopolitical turn-based strategy game developed by DC True and published by Merit Studios (in North America) and Empire Interactive (in Europe) for DOS PCs in 1996.
A sequel to the 1993 game Shadow President, CyberJudas puts players back in the role of the President of the United States as they use the ShadowNetwork to face diplomatic, economic, and military challenges presented to them in order to maintain high approval ratings and become re-elected (even beyond the two-term limit). Along with interacting with the other computer-controlled states, the game offers computer-controlled advisors to help the player.
Along with a new cyberspace theme, with heavy use of 3D CG animation and UI, the game features two new game modes that switch-up the advisor system of the classic Presidential Simulator mode. The first new mode, Cabinet Wars, has the player's advisors working against each-other in order to manipulate the player for their own personal political gain, while the game's new signature mode, CyberJudas Gambit, has one of the player's advisors working against them, forcing players to deduce who the traitor is (with help from the T.R.A.C.E. system).
Like the previous game, the game boasts its "award-winning" world simulator A.I. based on data from the CIA World Factbook (which is included).
