I'm in NY and haven't heard much about the race. I started watching F1 at the start of this season and I'm loving it, it would be great if F1 got a stronger following in the US again. If the NJ race happens next season, there's a good chance I'll go to that, though.

My friend did fly out to the race, can't wait to hear what he thought.

So the NJ track is an actual thing? I remember hearing about it sometime ago, but seeing as the race was in Austin, I thought I must have been dreaming it.

Anyway, great battle for first place all the way to the end, I think I saw Vettel get the fastest lap on he last lap, too, so good on him, I guess. :D I hadn't seen any of the track prior to the race, but it seemed to offer a decent amount of overtaking, which made for some exciting viewing.

@cclemon36 I think the NJ race next year has already been canceled.

Was a great race yesterday though and the track seems great. I'll have to re watch it at some point though as I had one eye on that and one on the live stream.

The NY race next year has definitely been canceled due to time and money concerns. Apparently Mr. Ecclestone thinks they can't get the track running and up to F1 standards before 2014.

Best race of the season? One of the better ones for sure, but what about Abu Dhabi? That race was insane.

@Mister_V: @IroN1c: Thanks for the replies. That's a shame, though. Hopefully it'll become reality at some point in the next few years. It's already a really interesting venue purely from a geographical perspective.

Well, got through watching the race last night, What a race, Loved it. Even though Ferrari pulled a fast one before the race started I still want Alonso to win the title, I may die a little inside if Vettel wins 3 in a row, thats just greedy!

I want Alonso to lose just so I can see him have a temper tantrum. I am not sure who the bigger baby is, Alonso or Hamilton. Both are spoiled nits.

Anyways Vettel is going to win I think. RBR has been so fast in the corners this year. Ferrari still looks twitchy as hell.

This post is about 11 years old and it is amazing to see both Alonso and Hamilton still racing in F1. Two Legends of Motorsports.

Congratulations to McLaren for winning the World Constructors' Championship. It came close at the end but they managed to win the Championship with a gap of 14 points ahead of Ferrari.
