Im trying to remember a pc game which was in the early 90s. It was a space themed game where you wore an space suit for a hostile environment, and from a first person perspective. You start with training fighting aliens on this planet which has a hostile environment (hence space suit with helmet etc). As you progress it becomes an all out war against these aliens…until the end of the game, where you take your helmet off and you have actually been fighting/killing friendly humans, on a earth type planet

Ok, this is a long LONG shot and a HUGE challenge for being a really old game, like 80's or mid 90's and I'm pretty sure it's an underdog. I know for sure it's pre 2000 but I'm pretty sure it's pre '95.
I'm looking for a point and click adventure game with a really old interface. I believe it is previous to the development of the SCUMM engine (or maybe they just didn't use it for not being affiliated to Lucas Arts Adventures) but I remember that you needed to press a key to pop up a command window where you'd type a command for the character to act. For example: I remember that at the end of the game there was a huge (alien?) spaceship and inside it there was a ladder that you could use to go to the roof of the ship. To actually use it you'd need to type "up" or "down" on the command window.
On what I believe to be the first level of the game you show up on what looks like to be a crash site and there is a huge robot that's not working there as well. I believe you need to fix the robot in order to leave the level but it's been almost 30 years by this point so forgive me for not really remembering what happens. I do remember that if you actually got too close to the robot you'd actually fall and die but I don't remember anything else. you could also fall for your death from the roof of the giant spaceship if you didn't remember to actually use the stairs to go down (by using the command prompt).
As for the story itself, it talks about a couple friends that got in trouble. I'm quite sure that on this first stage I mentioned they're both there but I'm not quite sure if they're both together on the last stage. I do remember that on the end credits they're going back home and one of the guys touch something and they crash and as a final joke they crash on the offices of the company that makes the game (or a competitor? IDK, it's been 30 years and I didn't even speak English back then).
Anyway, I know this is an insane request but I've been wanting to actually play the game recently and I'd really appreciate if anyone could help me finding this old game.
Anyway, long shot I know but worth trying.
Thanks a lot!
Its an old game where you play as 3 people, a dark elf lady, a human fighter and a wizard and you could switch between them during gameplay The main antagonists were two ancient enemies trapped in a stone by a wizard and the third act sees you releasing them. It was 3D and hack and slash style gameplay definitely very old the art style was close to 'Guardians of Norrath' and the camera was very close to characters. Don't remember a lot of details about it.
@bobdoggerson: I've consulted with a group of Sierra heads, and we've concluded that this has to be Space Quest III.
@feline_propagan: This would be Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone
@spunkyhepanda: WTH! It really is this one! The color scheme is different from what I remember but it definitely is the game. I watched a gameplay and everything I remember is there. This is amazing!
A funny little something for you to laugh: I did think it was from Sierra Games and checked all their releases and skipped right through SQ3 because the cover art has nothing to do with what I though the game was supposed to be.
Anyway, thank you very much! You're amazing! I'm laughing a lot remembering this game.
Hello new here,
So there is this game I'm trying to remember that I played when I was a kid. Here's my very limited memories of it.
- The games starts like every RPG games in 2000's
- I remember starting the game with freedom of weapon, there's no specific role or something (I think?). I started using sword then eventually a bow.
- You can see some of your equipment like weapon in the HUD and just like diablo, 2 circular flask which contains hp and mana.
- Game is kind of an open world in my child mind perspective. You can go every dungeon you like without limitation of quest.
- Loading was like resident evil.
- With that I remember going down a castle/dungeon and the loading screen was like rotating stairs just like in medieval tactical stairs.
- Then the last thing I remember is that I finished this dungeon(the dungeon with stairs) then I picked up this sword with HUGE base damage and some really good stats, but the catch is I CANT REMOVE IT by right clicking.
- Then I remember this sword drains my hp or something when using it.
- Then I quit after that lol.
I would appreciate any answers or guess you guys have. This is my childhood and I regret quitting without experiencing the whole gameplay.
Edit: I remember it as a first person type of game.
Hello everyone, I am currently looking for 2 games from my childhood that I always think of but have no idea what they are called.
I'm trying to get them together.
The games were for the PC and were on CD.
Both games must have been from 1995 - 2002, I was about 10 years old at the time.
Both games were included in a collection of 10 games.
I think both were games with click controls.
Game 1:
You had to fight against robot guitar aliens by winning guitar duels against them. I think they were robots with horns (like devils).
You could then fly with a rocket and visit the robot home planet to fight other rocker robot aliens in guitar duels.
Game 2:
It was a game where you played a secret agent. It was humorous and you had to solve tasks with various agent gadgets. Find fingerprints, defuse a bomb etc.
Somehow "Agent Blonde" comes to mind. The agent also had blonde hair and the style was like a comic.
I think the agent was also more of a dork.
It really is a tough nut to crack. I just can't get it together and have already consulted chat gpt.
It gnaws at me because I often have to think about the 2 games but I just can't get back to it.
Thanks for your input if you know anything.
I have a few games
Game 1
I believe it is an RTS, medieval game. Played on the Computer. Came out before 2007. The main menu is inside a castle room. There's a window in front of you, and a red rug. You hover the mouse over the rug, it lifts up a bit, and you press it to play. This is all I know, sorry.
Game 2
This is a mobile game. RPG style, where there are items and weapons you get with different rarities. Fantasy medieval style. I think it's a side scrolled from a halfway between side, and top view. There is a tower in the game with hundreds, if not a thousand levels. I believe the word "tower" is in the title. I could be mistaken, however.
Game 3
A pc side-scrolling strategy flash game. Kinda like age of war, but more modern military. The final boss of the game is the enemy's base itself. It's completely dark. There are ships, and aircraft, along with infantry and tanks. There is a recourse aspect to it, it being oil. I think that you're able to command the troops as well.
Thank you for your help!
Hello!Hope someone can help me!Around 7-8years ago i played one game.It was top down shooting game and u could also play it 2players on one pc.The only thing i remember is that on the icon was a guy with one like red flashing eye or something. The game that i found similar to that one was Alien Breed.Ive been searching for the past week and still cant find it does anyone remember it.Once again it was a top-down game with not good graphics.(i think the game had a "war"in the name but im not sure) oh yea and i also remember that on some levels u could get like a tank or smth
Some details for the game i"m looking for:
for windows/pc, late 80's through early 90's
space shooter, free flight
one of the menus was like a large meeting room, a large holographic rojector surrounded by seats almost like a sports arena, big screens at top. controlled by moving the mouse, ship looked like a scorpion, death-cam was below face up, ship spun and twisted before exploding
VERY CLOSE VISUALLY to "Battlesphere"
SIMILAR TO "Ares Rising" or "Bacteria" as well, i suppose
@cyberwasp35: ACTUALLY JUST FOUND IT!!!!! it's called "Star Crusader"!! (20+ years i've been looking for this... my God...)
thanks to THIS thread here: https://www.reddit.com/r/tipofmyjoystick/comments/123c7lr/pcmid_90s_3d_spaceship_shooting_game/ and https://www.myabandonware.com/search/y/1994/th/202
I also found this site, which may help some of you find a few things: https://www.playdosgames.com/all-games-list/
There was this game in the late 90s, which, on the first level the character would go through some icy rocks and cave like environment and fight wolves by kicking them. If we walk towards a wall, a voice said "no way!". It was one of those early 3d games like original Resident Evil. If anyone knows the name of this game please tell me. I've been searching for it my whole adult life
I have very few memories of it.
The most I remember was that it was a 2D shooter, like megaman, metal slug or contra, however, unlike those three, I think you could use your mouse to shoot wherever you wanted, not just in front and upside you. I played it on PC
Other aspect was that, when you advance in the game, you can grab a couple of robotic/mechanic legs which helps you movilize.
I don't remember the scenery, but I remember it had a dark background, like it was dark the place where you were.
I don't remember the year either, however I think when I played it, it was before 2015, maybe even before 2010 but I'm not too sure about that.
Also, I'm still not sure about this, but I think you shoot lasers and the enemies you have to kill came to you in hordes.
It's an old PC game probably from around 1995-2002, where a blue creature ( I remember it as an elephant looking with white towel for some reason :) ) navigate on a 2d square that's made of brown rock that only moves forward once you chosee the direction of movement, all that to collect diamonds. It had a space background and very nice music.
@sadeghsatari: do you have any memory of what the character looked like? In a way your describing "No one can stop Mr. Domino." Although I don't think it has wolves but much about the game matches what you described.
@cyberwasp35: That's awesome and thanks for the link to help others.

Does anyone know about an old arcade videogame, caracters are braking bricks castle and try to find way to boss (devil look like), caracters are , as i remember, fat boy, girl in red dress and one more. You could choose-change caracter in phone boot. sound familliart to anyone?????
This is almost certainly Psychic 5(GameFAQs | MobyGames | Japanese Wikipedia). If have a Switch, a port/remake was released not too long ago - Psychic 5 Eternal(screenshots & footage @ GameFAQs).

I kept trying to figure out how this might be Time Commando, but after checking the UVL page for pre-rendered backgrounds, it seems the game you want is Perfect Weapon (GameFAQs | MobyGames | Wikipedia). And it's on Giant Bomb's list of games with pre-rendered backgrounds too, oops.
Okay I don't know if this is too old to get a response or if I'm even putting this in the right box but I am trying to remember a PS1 game the closest I have gotten is n2o or Gravity Chase it's kind of like that but more like you're flying through a space station is like a really closed Wormhole type thing and I do believe it's first person I don't remember.. you can go up through tunnels and down and all around kind of like Forsaken.. if anyone sees this and helps me remember the name that would be awesome
I have one that’s driving me mad; please help! It was a PSN exclusive around 2011. Black and white, top down zombie shooter. The player character doesn’t move except to aim, and the only color is the zombies because the color indicates what power they have (red=explosions for example). Thanks in advance!
Hi. I remember this phone videogame from 2005-2015 i used to play on an iphone where you were the master from a castle and enemy soldiers would appear from the left of the screen. You would then tap and hold one of them and this would move it. You had to kill them and in the scenery there were several ways to do so. I remember there being a hook, a fire pit and a dragon. I don't remember anything else since i was quite young and it's been some time.
I didn't mention it before, but it was a 2D game with side view.
